The WIT200 Idle Timer is designed specifically for Westrac Caterpillar Equipment. It provides simple and effective control of engine shutdown to protect the turbochargers & related engine components from instant shutdown at high temperatures. An added feature of the WIT200 is its auxilary input which can be used to detect park brake applied or released. If the park brake is applied and the ignition is switched off, the WIT200 will time the engine shutdown as per the dip switch settings. if the park brake is not applied and the ignition is switched off, the engine will shut down immediately to prevent machine movement after the operator has exited the cab and forgotten to apply the park brake. The WIT200 Idle Timer is connected in series with the ignition circuit and operates on 24V systems.
